Found throughout the property, the beautiful and historic rock walls run along the northern, southern, and western property boundaries. They would have been built to manage the livestock and garden elements of the the property.

Records document a payment of $52.99 to Mr. William March on March 14, 1832, for 39 and ¾ days work building stone walls. Work began in 1827.

Records document payment to Patrick O'Neil for building stone walls on Sept 13, 1843.

New stone walls were built by Caretaker Richard Tupper in front of the Caretaker’s Cottage in 2023 and the pond in 2024.
