About the event
Join award winning children's author, Mary Morton Cowan for a session featuring logging and forest history related activities based on her book, Timberrr! A History of Logging in New England.
Students will participate in activities to learn about logging/forestry and tree-identifying. We will also explore the different ways that timber was moved from the forest to sawmills.
This activity is best suited for students in grades 3+. An adult must stay for the entire session and are encouraged to participate.
