About the event
Seal Cove Auto Museum has an ongoing exhibition through the end of 2026 – The Collector’s Eye: what, why, & how we collect. One of the three exhibits featured in this exhibition is titled "Preserve, Conserve, or Restore." Through this exhibit, the Museum focuses on an owner’s decision to protect an object's history or restore it to a more functionally safe and reliable form. While the real answer may be found in the eye of the specific collector, preserving, conserving, or restoring an item may present irreversible changes to the item and how it is enjoyed.
One of the many interesting automobiles within the Museum’s collections is a 1928 Ford Model A Huckster. Originally purchased at Morang – Robinson Ford, this vehicle’s original body was likely built at this Ellsworth-based company.
