History Lecture Series at Woodlawn: Part One of Two: General David Cobb in Massachusetts

To study the life of David Cobb is to explore several lifetimes’ worth of accomplishments. While in Massachusetts, Cobb was a surgeon, Patriot, soldier, statesman, and civic leader, helping to shape the Commonwealth during the Revolutionary era and beyond. As part of the Old Colony History Museum’s summer of Revolutionary-themed programming, join Curator of Collections Bronson Michaud on September 14 for the first part of a two-part lecture series exploring the life and legacy of David Cobb in Massachusetts and Maine, presented in partnership with our friends at Woodlawn Museum in Ellsworth, Maine. Drawing on materials in the Museum’s collection, including items written by and worn by Cobb himself, Bronson will share the story of this remarkable figure and his experiences during one of the most transformative periods in American history.
