About the event
Reconnect to nature and your five senses with a slow walk in the woods. Calm your mind and your nervous system. Proven to lower blood pressure and stress hormones. Relaxing and restorative. A traditional Japanese practice beneficial to all ages and abilities.
This 1.5-2 hour stroll will start with connecting to our bodies, breath and sensations in the present moment. Then members of the small group are offered suggestions to explore on their own the natural connection to their environment through touch, sight, sound, taste or smell. There will be opportunities for sharing, silence and a final herbal tea ceremony; all help build trust, community and direct connection to the world around us.
About the Facilitator:
Your facilitator is Shep Erhart, certified Forest Therapy Guide, resident of Franklin, founder of Maine Coast Sea Vegetables.
